Hello All!
 
I hope you've had a great summer, despite the boiling heat and lack of rain (any rain!!).  As most of you know, August has heated up for Congressman Lloyd Doggett as well, and there have been a flurry of e-mails trying to decide how to rally to the side of our Congressman.  After much discussion, I will outline the plan of action that is materializing - but, we will need all hands on deck for this one - we certainly don't want to be outdone by the disrupters who are following Congressman Doggett around right now. 
 
-We will all attend the big Rally for Health Care Reform at the Capitol in Austin on Sat. Aug. 29th
-we decorate our cars, hold signs out the windows, etc
-we all meet from all over the County in the Cabela's parking lot and caravan to the Capitol in Austin
-the cars themselves become our advertisement and we drive from San Marcos, Kyle, Buda, Wimberley & Dripping to
 our meeting place at Cabela's and the fact that we caravan down I35 to Austin should create a huge advertisement
-we'll all have to park in downtown Austin and walk, holding our signs, to the Capitol - that becomes something of a "march" in itself - we will be meeting at Central Presbyterian downtown and march together to the Capitol
-There will be groups from Ft. Worth, Dallas, Waco, Houston to be at the Capitol - so if everyone brings signs, etc., we could create much more of an impression than what a couple hundred disruptives can do at individual town hall mtgs.
-After the rally we will meet at Scholtz's Beer Garden for refreshments, food and friendship
 
The exact details of the rally on Aug. 29th will be posted soon, so everyone has directions, etc.
